Time on Alcott is measured in three epochs. The first epoch is all time before the demons arrived on Alcott. The Second epoch is all the time from when the first demons arrived and when the demon equalibrius happened. The last and current epoch is everything after the demon equilibrius
This is a time period that is before the first known demon arrived in Alcott. It was a long time ago. Little is known about this time. Generally, it is marked as backward from the start of the Post Demons Epoch. So, 10,000 BD is 10,000 years before a demon arrived.
Little is known about this period in history. Most of the ruins that exist are from this time. The arrival of the Demons shattered what was once a thriving society. The Demons arrived and it is all destroyed in about 1000 years.
Demon Equilibrius (DE)
The current epoch is called the Demon Equilibrius or just Equilibrius for short. It is called this as the civilized world has found an equilibrium with the demon and their arrival. They now show up in the north. Groups of demon hunters find and kill them before they can become a menace. Most of the world now think demons are not even a threat any longer.
Post Demons (PD)
This is a very short time period. It is marked by the chaos of the demon’s arrival to Alcott. It is considered to be 1057 years long. So, it spans from 1 PD through 1057 PD. It is a time when the demons first arrived. They built up and stormed different civilized lands.
The Enclave brought about the end of the Epoch. Through some magical means they shunted the demons. They could not stop them from arriving on Alcott, but they were able to make it, so they only arrive in Alcott in the wild uncivilized lands in the very north of North Morley. They saved the world.
This is the time period where the church of Ryloth finds it dominance. In the time BD there were many religions. It was the followers of the twelve that banded together in a single religion. They helped the Enclave and as part of that agreement wiped out all other religions. This is the rise of the Twelve.
One issue from this time period is the amount of debris, dirt, and dust in all the ruins created. This has caused a lot of issues among historians and historical scholars. There are two broad groups. This is called the Demonic Schism. It is mostly based on what the definition of a year means. Was this time period on a Stormal calendar or a Solar Calendar. If it was based on a Solar calendar, it would be a period of 4,000 years instead of 1,000
