Monk Weapons.

Monks have been sightly modifying simple weapon to make them something they could fight with better as part of their art form. They can add or change one property to any simple weapon or short sword. The cost to make these changes is 150 CP to the original cost of the weapon. This does not take the place of masterwork. So you could create a masterwork monk weapon for 300 CP. As part of the process in making a monk weapon, you must include a story around the item. Either how to train with it, or how it came about.

Example: Say my monk order wanted throwing stars. Look for the closed item to a throwing star. The current properties for the dagger are; Finesse, light, thrown (range 20/60). What would be the right property to change or add to the Throwing Star. I think I would add a “Special” property. I would add the special property that, "When you draw a throwing star out to be thrown, you may choice to draw two. This would allow you to draw two and throw one from each hand. If I wanted to then make them masterwork, I might add wounding to them. The cost of the final for a non-metal one would be 302 CP, for a metal one would be 2 GP and 300 CP.

The story around the throwing star, might be that they modified the dagger look like a small digging tool. They disguised it so that local authorities would not know they were carrying a throwing weapon with them. As part of the training to use the stars, you pull them in pairs to make them more deadly.
