The town was founded by the Minerson family almost 100 years ago and is now a well established, and well fortified, settlement. Its proximity to key mining sites for limestone, coal and iron made it a prime location for industry and a hub to bolster development in the surrounding areas. This has brought great wealth and stature to the settlement as well as to the Minerson lineage.
The town features a large white washed castle, the only castle - outside of the capital - that is fully coated with the quicklime produced within the town. The town proper features impressive stone walls and the remnant walls of the town when it was a much smaller settlement mark the boundaries of the Old Town district.
