Overview
Guradam is known as the new frontier for humanity, it is the first established kingdom on the continent of Usta. Founded by Mattias Gura in the year 891, it quickly sprawled the southern coast of the continent as it passed in succession four times before being ruled by its current king, Dras Gura the third. Now an impressive nation with resources and powers that leave Hestrounia and Dawnreach clamoring for trade and political relations.
Discoveries
The new frontier has lead to many discoveries that have benefited man, it has given new perspectives and a deeper knowledge of the world at large. This in turn has built a distinct character to those who have moved to the continent and especially to those raised within this kingdom. New agricultural ways, medicinal findings, ways in warfare have all taken leaps here in the last century, but most profound to this land is the potency of magic. Small clues have been found by humanity to suggest there were once civilisations advanced in the ways of arcana present on the continent.
Many questions of Usta remain unanswered. This has lured adventurers and scholars alike to the shores of Guradam to claim their own unique discoveries from the land. But alas, not all who venture into the wilds are seen again, for it is a foreboding place fraught with danger. Guradam is known to be dangerous, beyond the vague borders of its lands lie societies of monstrous races both intellectual and primitive who are understandably hostile to the new threat of humankind. It's confrontations from races like this that have advanced Guradam’s military prowess and diversity in specialist units.
Government
Guradam is ruled by a system of Monarchy and is currently lead by King Dras Gura the third. While his rule is not one of absolute monarchy he still holds a lot of power in political matters, especially when dealing with other nations. King Dras has a host of advisers that are usually appointed to his council due to merit, either for life achievements or the betterment of his kingdom. The rest of the kingdom is feudal and land ownership is appointed by the king via lordship, gaining their title through various means that are recognised by the king, providing key resources, claiming new lands on the borders, or even defending from invading forces.
