The party run through the village, run to The Bathing Pools, those in their way shoved aside. Amarion and Crom crash into the pools, shouting of panic as those already bathing are rudely disturbed, and then just plainly disturbed, when they see the affliction that has befallen the two warriors. In a few moments the pool is empty, bar the elf and the human, each with their translucent skin.
Mornington runs through the streets shouting for Reot Windwalker, he meets one of the Centaur warriors who escorts him out of the village toward his last known location.
Edward feels something jab the back of his thigh, he turns to see Yishi the Gangrenous trying to get his attention. She seems rather entertained by the predicament the party find themselves in, and asks about the otherworldly creature they faced in the depths. Edward asks how she knows this, and she gleefully waves the locket of his hair in front of him, clearly she has been scrying on him for her own amusement. She mentions that Heedril hasn't shut up about the item he managed to make for the party.
Mornington exits the village to the south, seeing the distant effects of the collapse. Reot, starting as a dot on the horizon, rushes up to him, living up to his name of windwalker, wind blustering Mornington and the centaur escort upon his arrival. He heard his name carrying on the wind and returned immediately. Mornington fills him in briefly on their situation, that Crom and Amarion are in need of a cure for their strange affliction. Reot has questions, the residents of Exile's Henge, Reot included, witnessed a phenomenon, less than a couple of hours ago. A sort of eclipse occured as darkness fell across the day in the Feywild. A column of darkness was seen emanating from the collapse to the north. Between them they realise that the destruction of the Death Stone may have had widespread consequence. Reot had journeyed to investigate, and believes that a tear in the planes may have occurred and that the Feywild might be reaching the 'otherside'. Their shouldn't be paths between the Feywild and the Shadowfell, Reot implies with fewer words, deeply concerned over what he saw. This could be very dangerous for the inhabitants of the Feywild, let alone Exile's Henge!
Crom and Amarion are finding their situation inconvenient, tied to the bathing pools for the foreseeable. A worrying situation, but luckily, at this moment, rather comforting. A crowd of local inhabitants are in the nearby surroundings, watching in curiosity while trying not to bring attention. The two have stripped their gear as to not allow anything to rust, and can see that the locals aren't pleased about their situation either. A Pixie flies from out of the crowd and perches herself between the two. Its Pimlin, she talks to them and is pleased to find they both speak sylvan fluently. She is curious about them but shows no fear compared to others, she offers her help should they need anything, as a friend of Mornington's they are a friend of hers.
Edward tells Crom that Heedril has finished the item he promised them, made using the decaying tail of Karna-Kar. He promises to retrieve it for him and bring it back to the pools. Yourcil and Eilen are both close by, collapsed on the floor, fairly baffled and certainly exhausted from the journey into the depths and now to another plane entirely.
Mornington informs Reot about some of his concerns as they approach the village together. He tells him of his growing concern about Edward and his Patron's intent. Seeming what went down at the Death Stone it felt like a choice was ripped out from underneath them. Reot agrees that he should be wary of his friends growing powers and also of his allegiances. As they reach the bathing pools, Mornington sees Edward making his way up the hill and jogs to catch up. Reot approaches Crom and Amarion, wading into the water and showing his concern. They ask if he knows of any healers that can work their magic, he replies by telling them that unfortunately those of considerable talent in the divine, tend to follow more powerful leaders than he, and his "refuge for the needy" rarely hosts talents so great.
Edward, on his way to the Market within the henge, is drawn into a deep conversation with Mornington. The nobleman airs his concerns to Edward about his patron, his chosen path, and that they must be careful with the radical changes that are now happening to the larger world around them. Edward insists that his intentions are for the good of the party, for the good of the people of the world. There are just some things that might not go exactly as they plan from time to time, and there is plenty of time to do right by everyone. They arrive at Heedrils potion wagon and soon have the enthusiastic gnome following them, 5ft long wrapped parcel balanced in his arms. They find his mannerisms exhausting, constantly speeding up and slowing down his physicality and speech, due to a magical mishap from his past.
They arrive back at the pool and Heedril unfolds the item, presenting it to Crom. It seems to be a macabre maul, made of the fused vertebrae of the dismembered dragon tail. Karna-Kar's missing tail tip now forming a weapon wreathed in shadow. Crom is almost as pleased with the return of investment as Heedril is for creating the item in the first place.
Amarion decides to walk to the small grove where Drowned Root resides and speaks to him of the changes at the collapse. The afflicted ent was one of the few who did not see the anomaly occur, they must have been resting in their ever weakened state. Drowned Root's hope rises, has something changed at the collapse, maybe his home is returning to normal, or improving at least. The ent leaves the grove and strides southward to investigate.
Everyone together again at the pools, they rest for the night, Crom and Amarion submerged with just their heads resting on the pools edge. Amarion slips beneath the water to freshen up his head at one point and starts seeing things as bubbles beneath the surface turn to haunting yellow eyes staring at him.
The party rise at first light and devise a plan. Amarion suggests that they use the Amulet of the Planes to travel to his homeland of the shimmer isles. There are highly talented healers within his order and he knows they can be of assistance. They gather in a circle, Eilen and Yourcil included, and Amarion must focus to use the amulet.
As bright light fills their surroundings, and Exile's Henge starts to fade away, a crack forms in the amulet...
