Edward Fogbluff and his travelling companions have seen Xarturus in a few forms, spanning only a handful of chance encounters.
He has most often appeared as a very large humanoid shrouded in billowing smoke and mist. Sometimes sat upon a large, simple throne. His voice is gravely beyond any mortals and sounds like hot coals crackling in a well stocked hearth.
He has been seen as an oily substance that oozed forth from Edward's body at The Door Into Horn Peak Mountain, trying to enter the Dargean Inner Sanctum.
Further sightings in both dreamscapes and Astral Plane travels have shown that he also has a large wingspan protruding from his back, again, shrouded in smoke.
His throne has appeared in more detail in a dream like meeting with Edward, this time made entirely of skulls and other unmentionable "materials".
Edward often hallucinates black oil in all directions when his patron speaks to him, but on occasion has felt great waves of heat, cracking earth, or molten stone beneath him.
