Exodus Republic, Inc.

Faction

Many of the Exodus ships were sponsored and built by corporations with pockets deep enough to foot the massive costs. The ships were then filled with executives, shareholders, key technical personnel, and their families. They set forth to find a new home and build a society based on their shared value of merit measured by wealth.

Over several generations, collecting wealth into a single entity for increased political power became key to directing the course of their fledgling society. However, a group of shareholders decided that there was an inefficiency that could be cut out, and voted as a corporation instead of individuals. After the initial success of their trick, other corporations followed suit, which quickly lead to a disenfranchisement of the individual. Many generations later, the disembodied corporations are the entities that now occupy the board of directors for Exodus Republic Inc., continually guiding themselves to greater profit!

Role in Izya

ERI representatives broker deals and serve as the primary suppliers for each of the factions present within Izya Territory despite having no concentrated presence on the continent. In particular, as a stipulation of their agreement to retreat from Izya territory, they had the Jovangellian Empire sign a contract ensuring that the Empire settlements and troops would only purchase supplies from verified ERI vendors.

Naming Conventions

Exodus Republic, Inc's corporate citizens are given one name at birth. Many parents choose to name their children aspirationally, giving them names that signify wealth or productivity. Those who prove themselves capable workers may be allowed to "join the family" in their workplace, taking on the company name as their last name.
