The Verdant Coast, Izya Territory, Earth.

The Verdant Coast peninsula is one of the last holdouts against the vast galactic Sovereigns which have waged a brutal colonization campaign on the planet. Used up, irradiated, and abandoned, the peninsula is a haven for salvagers, pirates, hopeful townships, and freedom fighters. Among these are the Terra-Rising Brigade, holed up on the eastern end of the peninsula in a mysterious ruin known as The Slate Sepulchre.

After five years of holding the peninsula, its three neighboring cities, and the last independent space elevator on Earth against Sovereign attacks, the free denizens of Izya have been dealt a sudden and devastating blow. While some tend to the wounded and start to build in the ashes, others prepare to strike back against the attackers. It's unclear which campaign is more desperate: waging open war against a galactic power or trying to build a stable life in the Verdant Coast's caustic wastes. Will the flames of rebellion blaze bright in the wake of tragedy, or will they dwindle and finally extinguish, nothing more than scattered ashes in the dustbin of galactic history?
