Built into the mountain range, Baramen has become central to the mining industry of the kingdom and the place of worship of god Veil.
The city is split into multiple levels, going up to the very top where the Amber Cathedral stands. Baramen is also split into Inner and Outer city, where more nocturnal people choose to live inside the mountain, while others prefer the picturesque views of the outside.
As many other cities and towns of the Vierwood kingdom, Baramen is full of myths and legends. One of the more notorious ones is that god Veil created the first flame here and that flame has kept the mountain going for centuries. They call is "the heart of the mountain".
Thanks to the rich reserves of various precious stones and ore within the mountain caverns, citizens of Baramen have perfected crafts and smithery. It is common to see even the poorest dressed in well-made clothing
