House Serrat is a large merchant clan that is best known for controlling trade in the drug Terazul. Strictly speaking, the family isn't noble as Delzimmer has no nobility. The family is considered a second-tier merchant house, below the Four Families who rule Delzimmer.
The clan is divided into three branches:
- Guardians: Spies and enforcers for the family, led by Ramul Serrat.
- Traders: Manage the family's shipping trade and gambling dens.
- Travelers: Travel to the jungles south of Delzimmer each summer to harvest Terazul blossoms. Much of the family's income is derived from the Terazul trade.
House Serrat is somewhat neutral in ethical outlook. Although the clan is loyal to its members and retainers the family is not above employing spies and enforcers against its rivals. The family's main source of wealth is trade in the drug Terazul, although they inform users of its side effects. The family is also known for operating gambling houses.
