This is a gem with a red outside and an emerald green inside. Used by Orcus Bloom for their trapping ritual, with the spell Imprisonment (Minimus Containment).

really good component for spells. If you use with an ingredient that is similar to but not exactly (ex a fly instead of a spider) it might make the spell still work instead of backfiring or not working.
