During his reign, the realm of Terenas was prosperous and at peace, with the various races living in harmony under his leadership. However, all of that changed with the arrival of the Age of Chaos. The skies darkened and the land was ravaged by all manner of terrible creatures, as magic ran wild and the very fabric of reality seemed to come undone. It was during this time that the grand city of Arktos fell from the sky, crashing down to earth and unleashing chaos and destruction on the surrounding land. Jarlath rallied his armies to defend against the onslaught, but it was to no avail. The city's fall proved to be the end of his reign, as he perished in the ensuing chaos. With no heir to succeed him, Jarlath was soon forgotten, as the world moved on and the chaos began to subside.
However, there are those who still remember Jarlath, the Forgotten King. Tales and legends persist of his noble rule and his valiant defense of his realm. Some even whisper that he still watches over Terenas from beyond the grave, a ghostly presence that continues to protect his people even in death. Though his reign was long ago, Jarlath's legacy lives on. His name is still spoken with reverence and respect, and many look to his example as a model for leadership and governance in troubled times. Though he may be gone, the spirit of Jarlath lives on in the hearts and minds of his people.
