The Feline Grace is the personal starship of Darby Desmet, a
lieutenant of the Galactic Overlord Rayhanae. It is a small capital ship
that is sleek and intimidating, about 350 meters long, with a black hull
and red trim, decorated with the emblems of both Darby and Rayhanae.
The ship is capable of interstellar travel and is a powerful vessel
that is both functional and luxurious, able to go toe-to-toe with larger
ships due to its rare and powerful plasma cannons, a complement of
missile launchers and laser cannons, and heavy armor. The ship is
typically accompanied by a dozen sinister-looking starfighters painted
red and black.
But it is also a good host for lavish feasts and decadent orgies for
Darby's guests, offering all manner of decadent luxuries to tempt and
entice her guests. Darby is a hedonist and maintains her ship as a
center of indulgence, catering to her desire for decadence and
entertainment. However, the indulgence aboard the ship also serves to
increase the influence that she and Rayhanae have over their followers
and guests, making them more dependent on them and more suggestible to
their influence.
Among the many facilities of the starship, there are quarters for a
large retinue of attendants and guests, as well as large dining halls
and other rooms that can be used to host large feasts and gatherings.
The ship is decorated in lavish luxury, with decadent furniture and
decorations to please the eye, and is known to host large feasts and
orgies regularly. During feasts and orgies, exotic foods, drinks and
drugs are served, and guests are provided with all sorts of
entertainment. However, the ship is also functional and well-equipped
for combat, and the crew is trained to do their job well.
Crew
The Feline Grace has a crew of nearly two thousand, consisting of
fit and attractive members of all genders. Darby Desmet likes her crew to be
fashionable, elegant, and attractive, but they are also expected to do
their job well, and there is little tolerance for error. They usually work in tight, revealing uniforms that show off their
bodies.
As followers of Galactic Overlord Rayhanae, most of the crew follow some hedonistic beliefs and enjoy sex, good food, drink and drugs, and the finer things in life. The crew
aboard the ship do not have a strict set of moral standards, and they
are essentially free to do as they please, so long as they perform their
duties and don’t endanger or interfere with the operation and safety of
the ship. However, violence and coercive behavior will not be tolerated
for the reasons mentioned earlier. Most of the crew are addicted to
various types of drugs, a situation that is intentionally encouraged by
Darby, who views it as a way to maintain loyalty and make the crew more
suggestible.
In addition to their normal training, all crew have some
self-defense training and usually carry weapons such as a stunner, a
hand weapon such as a sword or knife, or other small arms.
Hospitality
The ship has a large staff consisting of just under half of the crew,
serving as servants and attendants who take care of the needs of the
guests and crew, including a large staff of cooks (preparing and serving
food), cleaners, hospitality workers to greet and serve guests and clean
rooms, and more generally taking care of the needs of the crew and
guests. They are usually well-trained for their expected jobs and held
to Darby's exacting high standards. They are also expected to be
submissive and subservient and happily obey any order given by a
superior. Hospitality staff is not required nor expected to have sexual
relations with other crew or guests, but it is considered acceptable and
will sometimes be encouraged (such as in the case where guests will be
seduced and entertained), and some hospitality staff may find that it
provides a pathway to more favorable treatment.
Servants typically wear uniforms that reflect their position as
servants, with tight-fitting uniforms to show off their bodies, short skirts or hot pants, often showing a pleasing amount of skin, and
tend to be black or red.
Security and Tactics
While not as large as Hospitality, about a quarter of the ship serves
as Security and Tactics crew and is responsible for the security and
effective use of military tactics. They protect the ship, crew, and guests and are armed personnel trained in martial arts and
hand-to-hand combat. The ship also has pilots flying the ship and
gunners who man the ship’s weaponry. Security and Tactics personnel wear
a black and red uniform; usually a tight-fitting dark red bodysuit with
black armor over the key areas, emblazoned with Darby’s personal
emblem.
Additionally, the capital ship will be guarded by a fleet of smaller
spaceships, a dozen fighters that can be launched to deal with more
serious threats.
Engineering
The ship’s engineering crew, consisting of just over two hundred
crew, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ship,
tasked with operating the ship's technical systems and ensuring that they
perform their job as they should. The engineering crew will also
regularly inspect the ship and make repairs as needed, maintaining and
servicing the ship. Engineering wears a tight black body suit with a
symbol of the engineering department on it.
Medical and Sciences
The ship also has a dedicated staff of close to two hundred medical
and science personnel, who are trained to take care of the crews’ and
guests’ medical needs. The medical staff usually consists of physicians,
nurses, scientists and other medical and scientific staff, and is
equipped with a medical bay that is well-equipped and able to perform
high-quality medical care. The medical staff is also responsible for
dispensing and synthesizing many of the drugs enjoyed on the ship. The
medical staff typically wear white uniforms, usually tight white
bodysuits for their uniform, to distinguish them from other crew.
Communications and
Operations
The ship also has a communications & operations department, which
handles communications and coordination of various operations aboard the
ship, consisting of about eighty crew. The department is responsible for
maintaining communications onboard the ship and with other ships or
stations. They are also responsible for coordinating various operations
aboard the ship. They will typically wear trousers and a jacket for
their uniform.
Handmaidens
Handmaidens
The Handmaidens are the personal attendants of Darby Desmet, most of
whom are indentured servants. They are chosen for their physical
attractiveness, submissive personalities, loyalty and willingness to
serve, commitment, and other desirable qualities. Some undergo
augmentations during their training to increase their beauty in Darby’s
eyes. Most handmaidens are women or transfemme, though there are a few
masculine members.
The Handmaidens are trained in the art of pleasure and to attend to
the needs of Darby and select crew and guests, and some other skills
that Darby deems pleasing, such as music and art. The Handmaidens will
attend to Darby, ensuring her every need and whim is met. Their duties
include bathing and grooming, providing massage and beauty treatments
for her pleasure, providing sexual intimacy, and so on. They also may
help with Darby’s wardrobe and maintain her appearance. They dress in
revealing clothing and lingerie to please Darby and her guests.
The crew of Handmaidens is organized into small groups called
“Harems.” A harem consists of a “Mistress of Maidens” and three to five
other Handmaidens. Each harem is assigned a specific role in providing
for Darby’s care. Thus there are harems for personal care, household
operation, and even to serve as personal security for Darby. Currently,
ten harems are serving Darby onboard The Feline Grace.
A “Mistress of Maidens,” or mistress for short, is a Handmaiden
(usually one of Darby’s favorites) who has proven herself trustworthy
and has the loyalty of the other harem members. The mistress is
generally responsible for the well-being of her harem and has the
authority to maintain order amongst her handmaidens and to recommend
rewards or punishments.
The Handmaidens are afforded more privileges than the other crew,
with better quality quarters and food. But are under stricter
restrictions: they are not permitted to keep a personal life and are not
permitted to have any significant relationships outside of those
specifically authorized by Darby. They are prohibited from having sexual
intercourse with anyone except Darby and those authorized by her, except within their harem.
Some of the most trusted and loyal Handmaidens also serve as
bodyguards for Darby and enjoy even greater privileges. A harem of these
will typically accompany Darby on her business off the ship, where they
will attend to her and provide protection. They are often the favorites
for spending time with Darby, which can sometimes be an opportunity to
earn more privileges.
Despite the life of luxury and privilege enjoyed by the handmaidens,
not all are happy in servitude. Many yearn for freedom and yearn to
return to their families or just resent being forced to embrace Darby’s
decadent, hedonistic beliefs. The rebellious ones may try to escape, but
this is dangerous, as Darby takes great pleasure in breaking the will of
disobedient handmaidens and punishing their families.
