There are 5 Virtues: 力 Strength, 勇 Courage, 美 Beauty, 智 Wisdom, and 狡 Cunning. They are each paired with an element of the Chinese Phases of the Wuxing: 土 Earth, 金 Metal, 水 Water, 木 Wood, and 火 Fire. All can work together or against each other according to the 相生 Generative Cycle and 相克 Controlling Cycle. In the 相生 Generative Cycle, the latter element/virtue derives itself from the former, generating the latter while depleting the former.
