Less politically radical than Twain and Forrand, the Baroness Carmel Trem is less strict on her interpretation of the Myth of the Bond. Whilst in the House of Trem religion is worn lightly, they do adhere to a local code of chivalry and honour which although secular cannot be transgressed without becoming a social outcast. The land is a mix of farm and dense woodland with very tall trees. They ride large hounds. Their warriors have held off the northern states in decades gone by. They see their role as guarding the civilisation offered by the king against the savagery north of their border. These values are largely shared by the House of Pokan and the House of Lock who rule land in the barony and have sworn their loyalty to the Trem.
