The citadel of the House of Lock. Most of the citadel is underground to minimise its environmental impact on the forest. Above ground is really just a large building that acts as an entrance way to the labyrinth beneath.
It used to be used as a secure fortress that was hard to siege that could protect the south from the northern Houses but today the Lock are famous for studying the plants and herbs of the woods there, seeking natural medicines that do not rely on knowledge or tech provided by The Society of the Bond. Many of the underground chambers of the citadel are laboratories testing the properties of everything from mushrooms to tree sap.
Warehouses with bunk beds stacked with Rangers of Lock help the researchers collect rare plants and brave the creatures of the deep woods on their daily excursions.
