The House has more in common historically and culturally with the tribes of the steppes in the Lands of Shemka than they do with their ruling house the Principality of Barthena. They ride the giant bulls, they love to wander the steppes and woodlands but unlike the tribes they are centrally located at the citadel in Samtoe. They are curious about the cultural revolution being supported by the princess Barthena Carnhold in their Barony and their wealthy families have begun travelling into the principality to watch shows and performances.
The bulls are surprisingly fast and agile and the House greatly prizes and admires riding skills. The House regularly hold tournaments and festivals where the riders compete in races of speed and games of skill.
They also take great care in breeding the bulls and increasing certain characteristic in their stock. Long horns are sought after as they are useful for gouging their prey and enemies. As is a muscular upper body and more slender rear. Different breeds have between two and six horns.
It is a sign of status amongst the Monko people if your bull has many long horns. This is seen as an ideal and yet breeding these qualities into their beasts has been difficult and outcomes surprisingly random.
