This House took the defeat that led to the Treaty of the North as a personal tragedy. They were the warrior House of the north, famed for their skill and bravery. While they respect that the new ruling House of Karna that they have been forced to swear allegiance to is also a house of famed warriors they will always see them as outsiders who now occupy their ancestral lands.
They are also known as miners and climbers, clambering bravely down into icy ravines to retrieve rare metals like Apoplex and other treasures of the past buried in the permafrost.
Unlike most Houses who ride genetically engineered great steeds the wastes of their northern home are too cold even for the Rhinos ridden by the Houses in the northeast of The Kingdom. Instead they ride a variety of powered vehicles, some with skis others with wheels.
These vehicles reliance on petrol enrages the southern houses as see it as an affront against nature and an insult to The Society of the Bond. They are, however, on ice at any rate, much faster than the steeds of other Houses and crucially they do not die from cold. There warriors have been known to use a blizzard for cover in their heavy cold suits and then whip out of it on their snow vehicles and attack.
