Home of the Baroness Vivon Soletan and her noble family. This great and rapidly expanding citadel is actually composed of three gigantic bee hive shaped buildings and two further smaller structures of the same shape.

The House is famous for training and riding the giant serpents - one of the few animals capable of withstanding the heat of the deserts of Soletan.

The most easterly of the larger buildings is known as the 'Hive of the Serpents'. It is dedicated to the giant serpents that are the traditional steeds of many of the desert Houses.

On the ground floor you will find both the stables, the hospital and the hatchery. The state of the art hatchery holds the eggs that will carry the next generation of the warriors of the House of Soletan in battle. Today it is fuller than it has ever been. Some put this boom in the birth rate down to the introduction of fish to the serpents diet, the more superstitious believe as the House thrives the serpents thrive through a mystical connection between the two.

There is a temple of The Society of the Bond with a snake theme. This is accepted by the society as the House chooses to interpret what others see as a wave in the middle of the circle in the religions symbol as actually being a snake. They place great religious significance on that fact.

The serpent's needs are tended to by the Knights and warriors of Soletan most of whom also live in the Hive of the Serpents on the upper floors. The Knights accommodations are said to be luxurious, the common warriors share barrack style rooms.

The most western of the larger buildings by the shore is the Hive of the Baroness. This is the opulent home of the noble family and their court. They have luxurious rooms overlooking the ocean.

There is no expense spared and the place glitters with gold and gems. They enjoy entertainments and have built a theatre where they invite travelling players and local troupes to perform. The best of these performances are broadcast by the House Scribe over the Network.

The final large building is Hive of Fire, this building is dedicated to running the House's incredibly profitable solar farms. It contains the massive energy market.

It also stores the tools and equipment of the maintenance workers. As well as those who package the energy in batteries of various powers. In the upper floors of this Hive the powerful Energy Executives strike deals that have to be signed off by the Baroness, with other Houses. Here they keep the envoys in style and well lubricated in one of the Hive's many restaurants or bars.

The most westerly of the smaller buildings is the Hive of Fish, this is the centre of the relatively recent fishing industry. Here are the processing plants, markets and merchants.

The fishing business is looked down on slightly by the Soletan as a dirty, smelly trade only suitable for the lower orders of society, but as some of those start to make shocking amounts of money, this prejudice is starting to be reconsidered. The term Fish king has sprung up to describe these individuals who have some from humble beginnings and are now wealthy thanks to the fish trade. It is a type of insult carrying a good degree of snobbery.

The other small building to the west is the Hive of Food. Historically, certainly before the fishing industry was introduced at scale, food was scarce in this desert region. Previous famines persuaded the House to invest in food stores that they could keep in reserve at times of crisis. Today the merchants still come with their food from the greener climbs of The Kingdom
