The citadel that is the seat of power for the House of Nem. While they pale in comparison with their neighbours House of Soletan to whom they owe their allegiance, their solar farms have made them wealthy for a minor House. The citadel is quite the spectacle, a huge pyramid shaped edifice with an enormous snakes head that curls up over its peak inside of which are the rooms belonging to the Lord Stringon Nem family and advisors.
The citadels lower floors are given over to the fish market, the energy market and their once great and now dwindling gems market. The gems market was at its height over a century ago during the last war but since then few claims have yielded any precious stones and today it mostly deals in jewellery and engraving rather than gems themselves on mass.
Unlike the Soletan their snakes stables is actually on the second floor of the citadel and accessed by the snakes through large pipes attached to the outside of the building that connect the stables with the desert outside.
On the floors above that is the stadium that is the reason most tourists visit the citadel. It is the stadium of snakes and hosts josts between warriors riding the serpents. Winners of the grander tournaments are granted the title of knight of the House.
