The name refers to both a farming village and the floating towers that were moved above it during the war. Said towers serve both as a prestigious mages' academy -- one of the best-known in Khorvaire -- and as the meetingplace of the Arcane Congress. Arcanix's students specialise mostly in magical theory, though several go on to become accomplished spellcasters as well.
