Shortly after the players arrived in Mal-Erek, an earthquake violently shook the town causing a large portion of the town to fall away into a bottomless abyss.
Mal-Erek is an elven settlement in northwestern Sithicus. It is known for forestry and for raising Riding Beetles. The giant spiders which live in the forests around Mal-Erek are prized for their meat and their medicinal properties. Giant spiders are hunted and sold at The Spider Market (Shop).
Mal-Erek is connected to Hroth by a simple road which takes 10 days on foot or 5 days on beetleback to travel.
