The Kender are a sub-race of halflings from the world Krynn who look like small elves and do not have the large feet of traditional halflings. In Sithicus, all kender are vampires. Their vampiric nature is a result of The Alchemistry Guild performing experiments on them at the order of Lord Soth to destroy their cheerful and careful nature. The kender reside in The Fumewood and are rarely seen beyond it.
