Waekros is a name you do not want to say in Ystrai unless you want cold glares.
Waekros was once a famous tactician in the army of Ystrai. Battling against him almost surely meant a quick demise or a swift surrender.
Unfortunately, he was too curious in finding ways to win his battles. Once, his superiors caught him tampering with Mycanthropy. They let him off the hook that once to avoid ruining his reputation and as a favor. However, he was not grateful. His breaking point came when there was an ambush of his platoon, and many of his comrades died. Cornered, he sealed himself off into an old burial complex. Out of options, Waekros chose to release a small strain of Mycan into the catacombs, and after spending time cultivating them he unsealed the tomb, finding himself behind enemy lines with his comrades dead. He used his new collection of allies to mount an attack from behind to win the battle and returned to find his camp abandoned.
Looking through some files, he found that his commanders had intentionally sent him to be ambushed, believing in his abilities, but unfazed at the idea of his death. Hearing this only fueled the burning in his heart, and he swore revenge against his previous comrades. He lead his army of undead against his own sword brothers, slaughtering thousands, and rising them into his ranks.
The constant warring and being a fully-fledged Unknown eventually drove Waekros to madness, and once a force large enough to take him down was formed, they defeated his army and killed him as he was attempting some dark experiment. All of the artifacts were locked in the vault of Ystrai, and his legacy is shunned by the people, hoping for his name to be forgotten.
