A clutch of eggs laid by Iymrith was stolen by an unknown thief. The eggs were eventually sold off. The egg that would eventually hatch Levina was placed into storage, and not in the ideal conditions. Zephyros was often in contact with extraplanar entities, and it was these that directed him to the egg. He understood; a dragon raised by giants could bridge the gap between both races. He came to believe she had an important destiny. He purchased it, and used his knowledge of dragons to hatch it.
The Blue Dragon that hatched from the egg, he named Levina, and raised her as his own child. Being a chromatic dragon, Levina was difficult to raise. She would eat his books, chew his slippers, and leave "presents" in his shoes and bed.
Eventually, though, she would mellow out, and take to the arcane arts like her father. She found ancient Ostoria and runecraft to be her favoured subject, and worked with runes and her own draconic magic to create magical effects.
During a trip to the Moonshae Isles, Levina would meet her future soulmate, Serissa. While her father was out doing errands, Levina fell into the ocean and started to drown. She was saved by the young storm giant and swum to shore. Instantly, Levina developed a crush on the princess, but didn't have the courage to mention it. Serissa introduced her to her mother, Neri, and the group of them spent some time together, eventually finding Zephyros and letting him know what happened. Only later, at Maelstrom, would Levina admit her feelings, and Serissa reveal that she reciprocated them. The two would keep their relationship a secret, because of the state of politics at that time.
Eventually, her father sent her out into the world. She ended up joining the Harpers during her adventuring career.
When Giant activity was reported at Nightstone, Levina was the first to investigate.
