You attempt to duplicate a creature's spell as it is being cast. The target spell must be 1st level and cannot require material components with an associated cost. If the creature is willing, you also cast the targeted spell at 1st level. If the creature is unwilling, you must succeed on an ability check using your spellcasting ability to cast the spell. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target a spell of a level equal to half the level of the spell slot you used, and you can cast the duplicate spell at that level.
