You siphon your magic to an allied creature as it casts a spell. You increase the level of that spell by 1, to a maximum level for which the ally has spell slots. The spell is treated as being cast at that level. For example, if your ally casts Charm Person at 1st level, you can cast Linkspell to make it a 2nd level Charm Person.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th or 6th level, you increase the target spell's level by 2 levels, to a maximum for which the ally has spell slots. When you use a spell slot of 7th or higher, you increase the target spell's level by 3 levels, to a maximum level for which the ally has spell slots.
