A monk who follows the Way of the Consuming Void understanding the true power and near-infinite potential of the deadliest objects in the Cosmos: black holes. Though many students align themselves with the indifference of the Consuming Void, many are far from true neutral. Some believe the Void acts as a scourge of evil while others with a hellish bent may see to consume the Cosmos on their journeys, eager to return it to its origin.

Born from the Void

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your void-infused ki sustains you. You can survive without air for a number of minutes equal to twice your monk level. You also learn the Fluctuate Gravity cantrip if you don't already know it.

Gravitic Stasis

At 3rd level, your ki manifests as a gravitational void coursing through you. You gain the following benefits:

  • You can use a free hand to telekinetically grapple creatures, even through barriers. As long as targets grappled by that hand remain within 5 feet of you, you can make additional grapples with that hand.
  • Whenever a creature makes an ability check to avoid or escape your grapples, you can replace the check it makes with a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is grappled.
  • When you make unarmed strikes against a target you have grappled, you can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls.
  • You have a +1 bonus to your AC against creatures you have grappled.

Cosmic Mass

At 6th level, your void grows stronger. While you are not incapacitated and on relative ground, you cannot be moved against your will and you have adavantage on saving throws against being knocked prone.

Stellar Orbit

Beginning at 6th level, the consuming void within you exerts a small gravitational pull that can slingshot projectiles. You gain the following benefits when you use your Deflect Missle feature:

  • You don't need a free hand to catch or make attacks with a missile, which can be Small or smaller.
  • Whenever you make a ranged attack with a missile you catch, its range becomes 60/120 and you deal extra damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die. If you target a creature you have grappled with this attack, you automatically.

Event Horizon

Starting at 11th level, your ki shapes an aura of intense gravitational force around you that tears apart flesh and bone. You can grapple creatures up to two sizes larger than you, up to Huge, and creatures you grapple take force damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die at the start of each of their turns. Additionally, whenever a creature moves into a space within 5 feet of you, you can attempt to grapple it as a reaction.

Supermassive Void

At 17th level, your ki manifests as a true all-devouring void. You can use a bonus action to spend 4 ki points and extend your void to fill a 30-foot radius sphere centered on you. This sphere lasts for 1 minute or until you die. You gain the following benefits for the duration:

  • Any nonmagical bright light in the sphere becomes dim light, and all colors inside it become shades of gray.
  • Enemies in the sphere must spend 1 additional foot of movement for every foot moved.
  • When you make a telekinetic grapple on your turn, its reach becomes 30 feet. Whenever you grapple a target, your target is pulled up to 30 feet in a straight line toward you and takes 2d10 force damage. A creature that dies from this force damage. A creature that dies from this force damage disintegrates. If the target is not pulled towards a space within 5 feet of you, the grapple ends.
  • You have a +2 bonus to your AC against creatures you have grappled instead of a +1.
