These steps describe the creation of a Griffin-class cruiser starship.
Size and Layout. You start by sketching the Griffin's interior layout, regardless of its exterior. As noted by the black walls, its chassis occupies 32 5-foot square spaces. The base cost of the chassis is 640 Credits (32 times 20 spaces).
Install Stations. You add the following stations and note their costs indicated in the Starship Station Installations table, noted by number order: energy bay (200 C), helm (25 C), command (15 C), missile bay (100 C), airlock (20 C), life support (40 C), engines (50 C times 2 spaces), and shields (100 C). The stations cost 600 C in total.
Install Weapons and Shields. You select and install weapons or shields at their appropriate stations, noting their costs indicated in their respective tables: Plasma 2 (500 C) in the Energy Bay, Artillery (150 C) in the Missile Bay, and Light Shields 2 (75 C) in the Shields station. The installations cost 725 C in total.
Total Costs. You add up all the costs together from the chassis, the stations, and their installations. As a result, the Griffin costs 1,965 Credits to construct or purchase.
