Kilyrie a'Kavreshi

Lyric grew up on a small farm in Southlund and had a pretty idyllic life for the most part. Her mother, Kavrash, is a dark elf who escaped from the Underdark while Lyric was in her womb, and she has never spoken of Lyric's true father. Her stepfather, Landrick, is a kindly farmer and tavernkeeper who dotes on Lyric at every opportunity, to her mother's dismay. Paranoid to the extreme, Kavrash trains her to hide and fight and listen and look for danger while Landrick sneaks her sweets and plays her funny little songs on his lute. Hyper and unfocused and bored by the monotony of study and chores, Lyric spent most of her time on the farm and in the tavern shirking her responsibilities and looking for trouble; at least she did until a family friend "Uncle Ipsin" talked her into trying to join the Mages of High Sorcery. Two years ago, she packed up her things and went to learn magic...and has regretted it ever since. The hours of training and studying and hard work and rigor are antithetical to her burgeoning sense of wanderlust. 

When an opportunity came to go on a journey to explore a newly discovered tomb, Lyric jumped at the chance...but she was woefully unprepared for what they uncovered inside that tomb. A creature within beset the expedition and only spared three of them in a moment of pity, imparting upon the three a piece of itself. Lyric's left eye now glows with a pulsing blue light that she keeps it hidden behind an eyepatch most times. In the quiet times, she can still hear the creature's voice...
