Raventree Manor

Session

The Line Breakers found a quiet spot in Steel Springs where they could rest for a minute and discuss what they found. Katt started the conversation:

Hey, guys, you won't believe what I heard when I was in Kalaman. I was at the tavern there, you know, just “minding my own business”, when I overheard these two drunks talking about some land in Steel Springs. I bet they meant THIS Steel Springs. They said it used to belong to the mayor of the town, but he abandoned it 20 years ago. And guess what? It has a huge estate on it, just sitting there, waiting for someone to claim it.

Apparently, the local laws say that if no one takes care of the land for more than 20 years, anyone can claim it, if those two drunks knew what they were talking about. This land is not just some patch of dirt, it's a whole 200 acres of forest and fields. And the estate? It's called Raventree Manor, and it's supposed to be huge and fancy. Who knows what kind of treasures are hidden inside?

Of course, there's a catch. There might be some nasty surprises lurking in the shadows, it is supposed to be haunted. But hey, that's what the Line Breakers do, right? We're not afraid of a little challenge.

[Katt hesitated on that last line]

So, what do you say? Maybe we can even make it our own home base? Or maybe we can just loot the shit out of it and sell everything for a nice profit. Either way, it sounds like a great opportunity to me. Oh, not to mention I’d bet you a shiny dragon that if Derret, or anyone else captured is still alive, that is where they are being kept.

We should definitely check out the manor and see if we can find them. Maybe we can sneak in and rescue them without alerting anyone. Or maybe we can just follow Oskar and the bear in and fight our way through it.

[Katt quietly laughed under her breath after saying that]

Who knows what kind of enemies or traps are waiting for us in there? Maybe some Dragon soldiers or draconians have taken over the place... or… maybe some ghosts or monsters are haunting it.

But we're not scared, are we?

We're brave and smart and strong. We can handle anything that comes our way. We're a team, and we have each other's backs.

What do you say?

Al, you're good with history stuff. Do you know anything about this place?

[Al – roll a History check with advantage.]
