Tatina Rookledust had always been fascinated by the Northern Wastes, the mysterious land beyond the mountains that had been ravaged by the Cataclysm centuries ago. She had heard stories of ancient civilizations that once thrived there, before the world was shattered by a cosmic disaster. She wanted to see for herself what secrets and treasures lay hidden in the ruins, if any.
She spent the last couple days in Castle Kalaman's library, poring over dusty tomes and maps that depicted the Northern Wastes. She learned that the region was now a desolate wasteland, where sudden storms and flash floods made travel perilous. She also learned that there were still remnants of the old world scattered across the land, grand structures and monuments that defied time and decay. But few adventurers ever returned from their expeditions, and those who did spoke of horrors and dangers that lurked in the shadows.
She was undeterred by the risks. She had a keen mind and a thirst for knowledge.
She decided to embark on the journey to the Northern Wastes with the Apostles of Eros, armed with her maps and her curiosity. She knew it would be dangerous, but she also knew it would be worth it. She was ready to explore the mysteries of the past and maybe even make history herself. Just one last thing for her to do: write a letter to her favorite nephew, Oskar, to make sure he knows where she went off to. She has not seen him in a while, and as worried as she was, she knew if he was in trouble, he would figure a way through it. Just in case, she was going to bring the fargab with her.
