The session starts when the party decides to investigate the second floor of the mansion. The first discussion starts when Sierra Del Panadero finds a dog in the kitchen. She decides to tag him along and name him Lancelot. After a quick investigation Grayson Black finds some disturbing images again. (trees with roped corpses on them) The first room they enter seems to be the master bedroom with a joint nursery. When entering the nursery, the visage of a maid appears. It appears to be the ghost of Margaret, the children's nurse. Grayson Black have a small conversation with her until she disappears with 'baby Walter'. When she leaves, the crying of the baby disappears. Meanwhile Kokmadon finds a secret entrance. It shows a stair case leading upwards. The other rooms contain another large bedroom, where Kokmadon finds some jewelry, a bathroom and a small storage area where Kevdormu gets attacked by a living broom. They decide to move upwards.
They find themselves in the attic. It is full of dust and cobwebs. They found a room where the furniture is covered with white sheets. Under one of the sheets lies a chest with a skeleton inside of it. They figure they belonged to the nursemaid, and analyzing the wounds in the dress, she was killed by multiple stab wounds. Meanwhile Sierra Del Panadero gets the scare of her life as she finds the book she burned in another stove. With the key Grayson Black found in the library, they opened the big double doors to what used to be the children's room. Two small skeletons were lying on the floor. Entering the chamber made the ghosts of Rose and Thorn. They didn't recognize the party, and asked what we were doing in their house. A short conversation follows, leaving the party confused why they didn't recognize them, and who the people were outside.
Grayson Black goes outside the chamber to fetch some sheets. He wishes to bury the bodies of the children. The ghost of Thorn got angry and shoots towards him, suddenly disappearing. Then, shit got weird. Grayson Black started to act really paranoid, not like him at all. Everyone was confused, and Kokmadon went to take a look. Now the ghost of Rose shoots towards him and disappears as well. His behavior changed as well. With determination, he started heading towards a staircase that went down. Grayson Black wanted to use the sheets first. Kokmadon got mad however, took the sheets from him and burned them in the stove. Then she stove off downstairs. Grayson Black started crying? They could comfort him and the party went downstairs, yet were confused as fuck.
The first thing they found were tomb stones. One was adressed to Walter Durst, known as the stillborn babe. The other one was still unadressed. They noticed other tomb stones, but didn't look for names. The other room they found was some sort of sleeping hall, with many beds and many chests as well. As D&D tradition dictates, the party started looting. The behavior of Grayson Black and Kokmadon was still weird. The Half-Orc was being very bossy, while the blood hunter was scared of everything. Yet the party continued, as they started to hear chanting within this basement. In the next room, they found some sort of monster. It had a tentacle and a beak and attacked the party. They quickly defeated it, yet Grayson Black ran away in fright. The others didn't notice though so they continued.
In the next room, they were surprised by a wooden statue of a lady. She was in white robes, her hand resting on a wolf while holding an orb in the other. Sierra Del Panadero took the orb and immediately heard whispers in her head: "His gaze burns upon us, The Dark Lord's eyes are always watching, He is the ancient, He is the land." When she touches the orb, she also feels an evil presence watching her. She gave the orb to Kevdormu and he experienced the same thing. In the next room Narmo encountered a strange door with teeth. When she poked it with a stick, the door ran away. xD Shrugging their shoulders, they continued on. After some looting, and finally getting the scared blood hunter back, they descended even further.
They arrived in a room full of weird artifacts. The party didn't pay much attention to it though, as they were searching for the source of the chanting. The chanting led them to a room filled with knee-deep water and a raised altar in the center. The chanting was louder, visibly coming from cloaked figures. Stepping onto the altar turned the chanting into demands for sacrifice. Stepping off the altar changed the chanting into a death threat. An iron gate locked everyone but Grayson Black into the waterlogged room and a huuuuuuge amalgamation of flesh started bulldozing towards the party. Simultaneously, the house started falling apart. Huge slabs of ceiling thundered down as the party made a run for it, opening the gate and fleeing to the ground floor. There, billowing smoke hid massive scythes in every door opening from view. Suffocating and being chopped up, the party spent all their resources to get out of the collapsing building alive!
