23. Of Corpse he did...

May 5, 2024

The party arrives in the basement which is partly flooded. They hear a weak cry for help coming from the room in the south. The party doesn't trust the water, so they throw some stuff in it as a test. While nothing seems to attack it, they still don't like it. So Sierra summons some crocodiles to help us traverse the water. Riding the reptiles, Narmo kicks in the right door. Most cells are empty, but some of them have the corpses or skeletons of previous prisoners. We rescued the guy that was alive, and was trembling all over. His name is Emil. We put him on a crocodile and Sierra started helping him.

Meanwhile Kevdormu decided to walk among the water and suddenly disappeared with a small explosion. We tried to look around but we couldn't find it. Sierra summoned a small octopus and investigated the place. They found a trapdoor. Kokmadon was able to get it open with the help of a crocodile. But no dragonborn in the room. The octopus entered and suddenly disappeared. It fell on Kevdormu's head. He was apparently picking up coins, but didn't tell the party. The octopus was just vibing on his head. The druid told everyone he was rather save though. Kokmadon fell on a trapdoor as well and disappeared in one of the cells as well. he found some gems, a potion and a longsword. We eventually got him out as well.

While Emil is with Sierra, her octopus joins the others to the further room. When the octopus enters the torture room some zombies start to rise up. The party starts attacking them while Emil suddenly attacks our druid. With some clever tactics and the use of cleric powers, the party defeats the zombies. They start to gather some of the coins from the cells and a glowing shortsword.

We tried to take a short rest on the stairs, but some undead hands started attacking us. We tried it again, but another zombie (upper half) tried to attack. The group decided to get to the next floor. As the group walks towards a door, they suddenly activated a trap and they were trapped in a cage. As they were sent upwards, some sort of gas knocked everyone out but Sierra. Oh boy...
