A land of deserts in the west and jungles in the east, eastern El-Batok is said to be the cradle of Humanity, while western El-Bartok is said to be the cradle of the first truly great human civilizations. Of these old civilizations, however, mostly only ruins are left, but many of the cultures there endured and evolved on smaller scales. All this make El-Batok attractive to anthropologists, adventurers and archeologists alike. Though sparsely populated, especially the further you head inland, it is home to unique creatures and tribes of people.
