Sanctospace

Sancstoryl's Wildspace-System, with planets and notable objects floating around in Wildspace.

Pai: The Sun of the Wildspace-System that shines with a white light, often considered an extension of Pelor. Although insanely hot, it is said that Pai is inhabited by creatures from the Elemental Plane of Fire, and has plenty of portals to that plane. Some Solar Dragons also make their home here.

Aurana: The first planet from Pai. A tidally locked planet that is scorched on one side, and full of volcanic activity and eternal night on the other. The only habitable zone is a small strip in the middle, where it is mostly inhabited by Fire Genasi, who are said to have come from the Elemental Plane of Fire. However, a sizeable Tiefling-population also lives here, and many fire-elemental dragons roam the planet; especially the part that is mostly wreathed in flames. The night-wreathed half of the planet seems to be barren above ground, nearly frozen if it weren't for the volcanoes. Nonetheless, some underground populations of Svirfneblin and Kobolds seem to exist here.

Katiel: The second planet from Pai. A humid and hot world that is covered in jungles and tropical oceans, with the landmasses being larger than the oceans. It is primarily settled by Lizardfolk and other scalefolk, as well as amphibious folk like Grung. A few settlements of Tabaxi also can be found here. However, unlike Sancstoryl where such peoples usually live tribal lives, many of the people of Katiel live in large, stone cities decorated with masterful engravings, as the people of Katiel are masterful stone workers. Katiel's off-world trade consists mostly of a thriving spice trade, which they readily trade for metals and raw materials that are not easily found on the planet. The Lizardfolk of Katiel follow a unique religion that gives equal credence to the three dragon-gods of Sancstoryl, Tiamat, Bahamut and Sardior, and dragons are revered almost universally, even though they are comparatively rare. The other races of Katiel meanwhile follow more traditional, shamanistic faiths that worship the spirits of the land.

Sancstoryl: The third planet from Pai, and the planet with the biggest population. A calamity about two-thousand years ago has stranded people from another world not accessible by Spelljamming on this planet, which is why it is home to unique peoples that can't be found anywhere else, as well as unique technologies and powers. Worth noting is that a large part of the planet is obscured by a sort of magical storm; analysis has shown that this storm only seems to be one-sided, and lets sunlight in and filters any entering objects out. Any spelljammers that have tried to go through this storm immediately get ejected from the Atmosphere. This storm can also not be entered from the other side of the planet, as trying to navigate into its eastern and western edges, the so-called Storm Edges, with normal ships has led to many mysterious disappearances. While Sancstoryl society is aware of Spelljammers, and a few of the bigger nations also accepting spelljammers into their normal ports, there isn't a lot of traffic FROM sancstoryl. This is due to the traders of Salu closely guarding the technology and magic behind spelljamming vessels, and having done so for eons, often marking up the price of even the cheapest spelljammer to 5 to 10 times the usual gold amount for any interested Sancstorylians. Thus, only the richest nobles and traders can even afford one.

Salu: The blue moon of Sancstoryl. More details in its own article.

Hanina: The yellow moon of Sancstoryl. More details in its own article.

Ljuha: The fourth planet from the sun, Ljuha is covered large deserts. Ljuha is characterized by the fact that it has, in the past, been shattered into three pieces. And yet, these three pieces are held together by some force of gravity, and the planet acts more or less how it should if it where a normal spherical world. Nobody knows what happened, but there are theories that an experiment by some sort of spellcaster was to blame. There are three kingdoms on Ljuha, ruling over a piece of the planet each. Ljuha is mostly inhabited by Goblinoids who are actually a lot less warlike than on other worlds, and instead focus on things such as trade, philosophy, knowledge and magic. Ljuha's ring, which is made from rocks that where expelled into its orbit during its breaking, is also home to a handful of spaceports.

Avura: Ljuha's moon. It has no atmosphere and normally wouldn't be able to support life, if it wasn't for a large, flooded cave system just underneath its rocky surface, where Sea Elves, Triton and other aquatic humanoids live, making it count as a water world. They are known to sometimes leave Avura in water-proof spelljamming vessels such as turtle ships for trade.

The Shards: The Asteroid field of Sanctospace, composed of several asteroids of varying sizes. The bigger ones even have breathable atmospheres. All across The Shards, smaller settlements and docks can be found, manned by a large variety of wildspace-fairing races. The shards is also the only part of Sanctospace where Githyanki can really be found, after their raid on Sancstoryl a few thousand years ago thoroughly embarrassed them. From here, they plan more surgical moves against any Mindflayer threats, should they arise. Traversing through the shards may allow for plenty of adventure and trading opportunities, but most certainly will slow travel to the two outer planets of the system down. Thankfully, the shards can be avoided if one simply steers their ship above or below the asteroid field; though one still may get ambushed by pirates that are waiting above or below the asteroid field for easy prey.

Elmbihie: Probably the most well-visited and known asteroid within The Shards, Elmbihie was originally hollowed out and settled by Astral Elves from beyond Sanctospace. It has since become a bustling trade port and is often the first stop for many people that visit Sanctospace from The Astral Plane.

Predubja: A large gaseous body that is mostly inhabited by flying creatures, with Aarakocra, Owlin and Air-Genasi making up much of its surface population. Though most of the planet is gas, there are quite a few floating islands in its upper atmosphere where people can live and thrive. The denizens of Predubja have a few prejudices regarding non-flighted races that can not levitate, but these prejudices aren't violent; nonetheless, traders have reported that the denizens of Predubja are "full of themselves, very prideful, and hard to get along with".

Dimisan: The first moon of Predubja, lacking an atmosphere and being little than a barren wasteland. However, it is said that in the past, this wasn't the case, as a surprising amount of old ruins have been found on its surface, attracting quite a few anthropologists from other worlds and wildspace systems. Despite the lack of atmosphere, there are a handful of settlements on Dimisan's surface, which are protected with magic barriers and artificial atmospheres.

Luchiantus: The second moon of Predubja, a water-body that is permanently wreathed in twilight due to its unique atmosphere, but with scalding hot waters that barely support life, due to volcanic activity. Nonetheless, some horrific creatures live in Luchiantus' oceans. On its surface are thousands of tropical islands that are inhabited by Fire-Genasi, Tieflings, and fire-elemental Dragonborn, but also the occasional Lizardfolk and tropical creature. Luchiantus is largely very technologically backwards, but a few port cities with knowledge of spelljaming exist here, mostly manned by lizardfolk traders.

Vilarreaz:  The third moon of Predubja, Vilarreaz is a cold tundra mostly inhabited by Humans, Goliath, Bearfolk, as well as Dragons, such as, but not limited to Silver, White and Crystal Dragons. The people that inhabit this moon mostly live rough, tribal lives, but are honorable and charitable; they have to be, due to the horrors that live in its frozen wasteland making it necessary to depend on their fellow people. There's only a few spelljamming ports on the planetoid, mostly manned by off-worlders, but they do accept contact and trade from the locals from time to time.

Maxawgo: A frigid water world furthest from the sun, Maxawgo only really supports life beneath the surface of its waters, where large whales, squids and all sorts of bizarre ocean life thrive. It's mostly inhabited by Sea Elves and sahuagin, who are nearly constantly at war. Trade is mostly only done with the sea elves, as the sahuagin are extremely aggressive and attack any intruders on sight. The sea elves trade mostly with the people of Avura.
