Sancstorylian dragons are legendary creatures with incredible power. They can largely be classified into three groups: The generally good and just Metallic Dragons, the generally evil and selfish Chromatic Dragons and the generally neutral, reclusive and mercurial Gem Dragons.
Sancstorylian dragons are inherently deeply magical creatures and grow in power with age; so much so that they tend to distort the areas around their lairs. They also tend to be generally unseen and hidden, becoming rarer and rarer the older they are, and most people will never see a true, adult dragon in their lifetimes, unless they either go adventuring, or because something made a dragon reveal themselves.
