Lizardfolk are often characterized as having an alien mind much different from warm-blooded creatures, that is, less focused on emotions and general intelligence, and much more focused on survival and what is edible. However, this is just as much nurture as it is nature. Lizardfolk raised outside of their traditional, swampy tribal setting, and instead in cities or villages with other races often tend to act more like their host-races and even display emotions and mindsets that they normally would not when raised traditionally. However, they still never lose their focus on survival and food, and tend to still fixate on a hunger for meat at times, as Lizardfolk are carnivores.
It's worth noting that some Lizardfolk tribes sometimes engage in alliances with tribal Ree-Mai, sometimes even resulting in joint settlements which often result in the development of more emotional specimen of Lizardfolk, due to the general emotional warmth of the Ree-Mai.
