Bahamut

King of Good Dragons, Platinum King, Platinum Dragon, Dracopaladin

The noble and just deity of metallic dragons. Like his sister Tiamat, Bahamut is one of the oldest deities on Sancstoryl, and helped to create the first societies of Dragons on the planet. When other deities and their mortals then appeared on Sancstoryl, Bahamut was more than ready to share, befriended the new deities and got to know their mortal followers; but when his sister was less than enthused and then decided to take over the whole planet for herself, he stepped in, fought with her and, after narrowly winning and being unable to kill her due to still loving his sister despite it all, banished her to The Nine Hells, while he retired to his palace on Mount Celestia, which spans its first four layers. Bahamut most notably created the metallic dragons of Sancstoryl, and his influence is why many of them lean towards good alignments, though he is also accepting of chromatic dragons that put an effort into letting go of their evil instincts. Bahamut is often considered the platonic ideal of what a Paladin should be; intent in bringing justice, but tempered with compassion, never retalitory and always ready to give an olive branch for redemption. It is a sad reality that, despite their countless wars, Bahamut still hopes to this day to someday reconcile with his sister, no matter how small the possibility is.

Bahamut is known to sometimes send an aspect of him to the material plane, taking on a human form. To some, he appears as a kindly and a little kooky old man in a plain cloak. To others, he may appear as a young, friendly-looking monk. Besides him, a flock of seven canaries can sometimes be seen; the disguised forms of his seven most trusted gold dragon servants.

After The Great Wasting, Bahamut is said to have become the temporary patron of the Dorro, due to his friendship to the deity of Dorro, Merikira te Ruvea.
