The Dragons of Illiad, or Dorro as they call themselves, are a strange bunch. Unlike sancstorylian Dragons, you can not tell their races' usual moral standing by the color of their scales. There is a near endless variety of types and appearances for them. They're said to be the creation of the Illiadian mother-goddess of dragons, Merikira of the Crescent Moon, and they worship her as their primary deity due to this circumstance. Prior to The Great Wasting, Dorro had the ability to shapeshift and choose between two forms; Big Quadrupedal forms, that aren't much unlike sancstorylian dragons, as well as humanoid forms that resemble Dragonborn or Half Dragons. However, after the Great Wasting, which left their population surprisingly mostly intact due to the fact that they usually physically age, which many Illiadians don't do after reaching adulthood, many of them lost the ability to choose their appearance and got stuck in one form. Quadrupedal Dorro mostly went into hiding, sometimes mixing with the local Dragon-populations, creating unique dragon-hybrids in the process, while humanoid Dorro would often then go on to intermarry with Dragonborn, bearing either Dragonborn-Children or Dorro-Children.

Wingless Humanoid Dorro, while often mistaken for dragonborn, can at times be actually quite easily distinguished from them. Not only are their colors often different, more varied, and may even have multiple colored scales at once. Not to mention that humanoid Dorro sometimes have tufts or manes made from soft, down-like feathers, instead of the dreadlock-like tendrils that many dragonborn have.

Legendary Form, average Soul

While Illiadian Dorro are, at least in their quadrupedal forms, without a doubt a type of true dragons, they tend to be significantly smaller and lack most of the legendary qualities, as well as the inherent sheer power of the dragons of Sancstoryl or other worlds on the material plane. Dorro aren't inherently magical, nor do they automatically gain strength as they age. Instead, their experiences and wisdom that they gain over the years shape their power, not unlike other mortal races. However, Dorro almost never, if ever, become as strong as ancient Sancstorylian dragons of any type, even if they turn out to be about as experienced. In many matters, they're much closer to Dragonborn than Sancstorylian Dragons.

It's fair to say that Dorro often aren't nearly as fearsome or legendary as sancstorylian dragons, especially in humanoid form. Some say this is due to the simple fact that, unlike the dragons of Sancstoryl, the Dorro of Illiad weren't originally created to rule and tame the world, but to live in peace with the other races of Illiad. This is even reflected in their living situations compared to Sancstorylian dragons; Dorro, both humanoid and quadrupedal, tend to live in groups called "clans", while Sancstorylian dragons are mostly solitary, since their sheer power tends to grab the attention of those who wish to slay them and steal their hoards. Nonetheless, Dorro take pride in what they are, and their own draconic nature; even their peoples' name, "Dorro", is derived from the ancient Vi'hai word "Dor'rhoa", meaning "Proud Creature".

They are proud of their abilities to work with light, as well as the divine. Sun-Dragons often act as kind-hearted healers, Moon-Dragons as gruff protectors of the innocent and Star-Dragons enjoy beeing honorable warrior-sages, and in their younger years quadrupedal Star-Dorro sometimes even enjoyed being used as steeds for fighters of noble causes.

Crystal Dorro
Damage Type: Force
5' by 30' line (DEX save)
A type of Dorro that's considered the result of Star-, Moon- and Sun-Dorro interbreeding with Dragons from other worlds that settled on Illiad. Phantom Dorro (Heart of Obisidian required)
Damage Type: Psychic
15' cone (WIS save)
A rare dragon-type evolved from Dorro that got stained by Shadow-Ena. Despite this, they're incredibly loyal friends.

Ice Dorro

15' cone (DEX save)
Often found in Deserts and active Volcanos, these Dorro can both be as hot-tempered as they can be warm-hearted. They're quite numerous and, in the past, used to travel a lot, which is why they were sometimes found in places that don't quite fit them.

15' cone (CON save)
Wind Dorro are as spontanous and flighty as the wind itself and enjoy traveling all over. They tend to be nomadic and enjoy seeing new sights, smelling new smells and tasting new tastes. They're quite gentle, but when angered, they could be more destructive than any tornado.
