A lesser sancstorylian god of hunting, bloodlust, and bestial savagery. Despite technically being subservient to Melora as a nature-god, he embodies the cruel aspects of nature much more than the gentle ones, and does not respect the balance of natural orders. Often associated with over-hunting, poaching and hunting for personal gratification, as well as sadism rather than survival, Malar is cruel and merciless, only making exceptions for the elderly, the pregnant, children and the infirm. As his only saving grace, priests of Malar do engage in hunts on holy days during the harsh winter months were even those who don't worship Malar get to join in, only to then gift some of the meat to widows, the elderly, the infirm and orphans; though this is the only time of year a worshiper of Malar is welcomed rather than avoided.
It's worth noting that, in days past, Malar took the gift of Lycanthropy from Sehanine Moonbow and twisted it, creating the first evil lycanthropes under his name. Due to this, many evil lycanthropes, especially evil werewolves, worship Malar.
