Savau has a lot in common with the Duchy of Ellora, namely in the fact that it used to be part of the Kingdom of Canei not too long ago. This is one of the reason why the people here often still speak Caneian in everyday life, with the local culture being touched by both Canei and The Corniola Covenant.
