Corellon Larethian

Father of Elvenkind, The Protector

The leader of the elven Pantheon of deities, the Seldarine, and spouse to Sehanine Moonbow, though he also is worshiped in current times by other races as also a deity of magic, music and the arts. For the elves, Corellon is their divine progenitor, their protector and the platonic ideal what an elf should be: Free, Unbound, Joyful, Creative and with no permanent state of being. Many who are not of elvish persuasion meanwhile worship Corellon for the ancient magic that he represents. Instead of the learned, academic magic of Boccob, Corellon's magic is instead unbound and free-flowing; much like the magic of sorcerers or bards. Those with arcane talents, but who see magic as more of an art instead of a study subject, thus often worship Corellon. Many Bards and artists also worship Corellon, not just because of his magic, but also because of the musical talents, the joy of creation, and the creativity that he embodies.
