A group of freelance adventurers were tasked by Captain Ukren Schwerter to travel to the village of Elsvogl in the Kingdom of Branjeprus, near the town of Kirchall, to investigate rumors of a cult that is spreading mischief and playing pranks on people, in the name of "The Trickster Lord". After arriving in Elsvogl, talking to the local priest of Pelor, Father Sommerfeld, and conducting an investigation, they were able to find out that the local General Store owner's 17 year old Granddaughter Elma, a young farmer fellow called Jonathan, and son of the local landlord, as well as apprentice guard Bronson Goldschmidt, were members of the cult.
After some more research, they found out the leader of the cult was a Baphomet called Azgoled Silverwool, a young man who just left home on his first pranking- and mischief-spree. After getting caught with several pranks involving Quasit-demons in the past, which were under his control due to a certain amulet, he decided on his fathers' favorite; the fake-cult con. However, after befriending the cultists, he decided to come clean after one last, grand prank.
...Well, one botched quasit-summoning later, courtesy of Azgoled's amulet being cursed by a hag, resulting in the summoning of a lesser aspect of Baphomet, the team was able to dispatch the aspect and its demon servants, and was elevated into the Knight-Rank of the Adventurer's Guild... including Azgoled, who instead was forcefully taken in by Ukreg, in order to have an apprenticeship with the local wizard in the guild library... so he can have an eye on him.
