Tharizdun

Tharizdun is often considered one of the most dangerous, if not THE most dangerous evil deities that have plagued Sancstoryl in the past. His goal is one of total annihilation, the destruction of all things, so that he may rebuild the completely empty multiverse after his depraved, insane vision. All other deities, celestials and even fiends consider Tharizdun such a great threat to all of existence, that his first appearance on Sancstoryl resulted in an alliance between all deities, evil and good, to seal him away. This, evidently, succeeded, and Tharizdun has been chained away in a hidden away demiplane. However, ever since then, he's been plotting... scheming... hoping to, someday, make his escape, and bring ruin to everything.

Cults of Tharizdun used to almost always be immediately the target of inquisitions by both evil and good religions. With time, however, Tharizdun has learned that sometimes, trickery is the best solution, so most cultists of Tharizdun don't even know that they're worshiping the Death of Light until it is nearly too late, and Tharizdun has an opportunity to feed on their souls, so that he may strengthen himself to finally break himself free. Some of them, however, are simply stricken with incredible madness... the same madness that Tharizdun perpetuates.
