An ancient empire that encompassed much of what is now southern Liwilai and parts of Lagetia, also known as the Old Rumas Empire. While it was a mighty and prosperous nation, the Great Liwilai Empire ultimately fell and splintered shortly after The Great Wasting, with only its eastern territories, which were ruled from Grehel, remaining intact until the 11th century PW, after it was conquered by the Osé Sultanate. Many larger countries in Liwilai consider themselves the successors to the Empire, most notably the Grenwal Confederate Empire, the Kingdom of Canei and The Corniola Covenant, the latter of which houses the Empire's former capital of Rumas.
