HotsC Session 1

The party, composed of Sooty, Lion'el, Volk Lesnoy, Zora, Philomena Snapdragon and Mikhail, is currently traveling in a Guild-contracted carriage, ridden by Martin Courbet, to the City of Argentis, as they travel there to join the Liwilai Adventurer's Guild. On the trip, they’ve slowly gotten to know each other, as they slept and ate at the same Inns on the Guild’s dime. After several weeks, they are almost at their destination, having picked up the last potential recruits in Argond. Now, on the road between Leonsa and Argentis, awkward silences and small conversations were head.

Party witnessed the robbery of the luxury carriage in front of them and intervened. During the fight, Mikhail initially stayed in the carriage, until it was hit; he then reluctantly joined in. Zora was trying to be as non-lethal as possible, Volk killed a bandit, and Lion'el killed the bandit leader, an orc man called Olgrak the Slayer, resulting in the rest all surrendering. A caravan guard managed to arrest all of them, in order to have them processed by the authorities in the capital, and the party got rewarded by Eduardo Marqués, 25 Gold in Paper Money.

Philomena did sneak out of the carriage in the middle of the night, and stole Eduardo’s top hat. Much to Volk's disappointment.

The Next Day

The party then arrives in Argentis at noon, say goodbye to their driver, and meets Marlène Lebas, the receptionist of the Guild HQ, who then introduces them to Ukren. Ukren goes over everyone’s recommendation letters. Ukren notices and realizes something about Lion’el’s. After an exchange of whispers, Ukren promised something to Lion'el.

Ukren introduced the party to Edver Moonmore, retired famous adventuring mercenary from Royal Union, now the one in charge of the training hall and the personal armories of the Groups. An Initiation-fight is had! Our adventurers against Group AG-7, consisting of Orlando Fontanez, Sethri Glun, Ichtaca, Shaxina Wildwhisper, Citlaos Aestri and Zeolon "Scruffy" Nimblehoof. During that fight, Lion’el was revealed to be a Half-Orc, and Volk to be a werewolf. While Lion'el and Zora where knocked out during the fight, Ichtaca, Citlaos and Orlando were knocked out of the ring, Sethri and Shaxina knocked out, and Scruffy was scared away by Volk in werewolf-form. The fight was won and they passed with flying covers.

The Party is formally inducted into the guild. The party's Pawn-Rank pins and ID cards are handed out, the party is given the temporary designation "AG-8", Ukren brings the party to their rooms. They meet Maylin Aeleni on the way, freaking Ukren out. Sooty finds out that Maylin did a deal with something, as they managed to catch a glimpse of their eyes. They then proceed to the Rooms. Zora sleeps in the same room as Mikhail, Volk shares his room with Philomena, and Sooty and Lionel are also sharing a room.

The next day, the Party will be shown around the Guild some more, and get their first Quest.
