The Agate Seekers continue exploring the ruin by Lintin. In the room to the south, the party finds another one of these alien mantis-constructs and promptly fights it, despite its non-aggression. Philomena Snapdragon does find the first of two Key Cards, as well as a diary chronicling the last days before the facility's abandonment. After exploring the surrounding rooms, and finding a few magical goodies, the party has a short rest and continues northwards. After some more encounters with an exploding robot dog, a surprise Gelatinous Cube, and a mimic, the party did find a secret library with a rather sizeable stash of treasures and magical items. Mikhail and Sooty also find a pad with research notes on ancient time magic spells from the Era of Mysteries, allowing them to learn those spells.
In the next room, the party does find two more of these temporal triangle-mantises, and once again decide to engage in a fight. While they suffered some injuries, they are once again victorious and continue on, finding another entrance to the locked room with the two time-displaced researchers, as well as a small office, where Philomina finds the second key card to the room. Volk Lesnoy does grab her and take them from her, as the party looks to the locked metal doors to the east.
