Mirror of the Perfect Moment

Wondrous Item - Legendary Item/Artifact - Requires Attunement by a Bard, Sorcerer or Cleric

An elaborate silver hand mirror, which is said to have either belonged to Adin, the Illiadian Grand Count of Pleasure and Joy, or one of his many half-mortal children that brought it to Sancstoryl. Its surface always shows the best version of the individual looking inside; not younger or different, but what their perfect version at the current time would be.

While holding the Mirror, you have advantage on Charisma (Performance) and Charisma (Persuasion) checks, and any creature that can see its reflection in the Mirror has disadvantage on saving throws against being charmed by you or your spells. Additionally, if you are performing, dancing, or otherwise engaging in joyful or sensual acts while this mirror is on your person, the light around you subtly bends in your favor. Candles burn brighter, laughter sounds sweeter, and you are always illuminated in a flattering glow.

Additionally, you gain the following abilities:

Capture the Moment. You are able to hold this mirror up as a reaction when you are hit by an attack or fail a saving throw. This reaction completely negates all effects of the Attack or Saving Throw, capturing the moment inside the mirror, but cracking its surface. For the next hour, when you look into the mirror, it shows a snapshot of an imperfect reality where you weren’t able to avoid the effects of the captured moment. Unless you used this ability three times before the next dawn, the cracks supernaturally mend themselves on sunrise. However, if you use this ability a total of three times before the next dawn, the mirror shatters, unattunes itself from you and has to rest for a month before it can be used again, at which point it is supernaturally repaired.

Shining Joy. Three times per day, you can raise the Mirror and release an aura of divine beauty. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet that can see the Mirror must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed and incapacitated with bliss until the end of your next turn.

Avatar of Joy. Once per day, you can gaze into the mirror as an action to become an embodiment of joy, pleasure and all the good things in life for the next 10 minutes. In this form, you gain a flight speed of 30ft, shed bright light in a 10ft radius around you and dim light in another 10 ft, and all attack rolls against you have disadvantage, while you have advantage on all saving throws and attack rolls. However, at the end of the 10 minutes, you safely descend to the ground and gain a level of exhaustion. Additionally, the mirror loses all of its powers for the next 7 days.
