Half-Orc who looks extremely human save for his Orc tusks. A Lieutenant of the Fist of the Crusader and one of Calia's ex-comrades.
When Lupercalia 'Calia' Erosa defected from the Crusader's ranks, Nathaniel refused to believe that she was capable of the horrible things she was rumored to have done. After Calia reached out to Nathaniel for help in her letter Calia's Letter to _________, he revealed that he had been campaigning to clear Calia's name. He is hard set on trying to prove Calia's innocence. In @Quest 57: A Hostage Situation, Calia learns that Nathaniel is currently waiting to meet Calia in Entowood in order to talk more about the Crusader's plans with the Stone Thief and The Great Ghoul.
When in Entowood, Nathaniel explains to Calia that the Crusader's forces heard wind of a cult worshiping the Stone thief. Calia teams up with Nathaniel under the guise of taking down the cult for the Crusader's gain. Calia convinces the party to accept Nathaniel's help and the party and the Crusadermen descend into the Cult of the Devourer in Quest 61: The Cult of those Loyal to Destroyer of Buildings and Herald of Trees. Nathaniel and his men hold off a gang of assassins and armed cultist forces as the party hinders the ritual efforts of the cult but Nathaniel is gravely injured by an assassin in the process. He leaves Calia to fight off the rest of the oncoming cultists as the party tries to escape from underground.
While fighting their way out of the cultist's lair, the party is attacked by the cultists and their Bulettes in Quest 63: Escaping the Cult of the Thief. The party found one of Nathaniel's Crusadermen dead and a trail of blood led Calia to Nathaniel's dead body. He had died fighting off the last of the cultists in an effort to help Calia and her party.
